Lauren’s three decades of extraordinary experience span the private and nonprofit sectors. As executive director of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City, she developed Kansas City’s first Jewish community-wide endowment training, education and development program, securing more than $112 million in realized gifts and expectancies. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lauren worked at the Kansas University Endowment Association in a variety of development capacities. She has also served as an instructor and lecturer at the university level for nonprofit administration and management and nonprofit leadership studies.

Earlier in her career, Lauren was in the private practice of trust and estate planning and real estate law in Boston at the firm of Ropes & Gray and in Kansas City with Stinson Morrison Hecker.

Lauren received a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Yale College and Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. She is a 21/64 Certified Philanthropic Advisor with significant expertise in planned giving, strategic plan implementation and family philanthropy.
